Context is a critical generative force in architecture and design. We believe that an inventive approach is informed through the dialogue between old and new, and the inevitable mediations of the environment and social space. Context is always present.
We use the term “The Temporal Field” to describe the dynamic and ever-changing context of human occupations, and the larger environmental variables within which architecture intercedes. This mediation is often subtle, sometimes complex, but very important in how we think about buildings, landscape, and urban space.
