The design process required an intensive collaboration between Winona State University, the City of Winona, and MnSCU to transform a historic building into a modern amenity that can benefit the students, teachers, and the community. The transformation of a historic lumber office into a 30,000 SF university learning center (anticipated completion 2017) focusing on the arts will create a new accessible primary entrance that reorients the building towards campus.
